Cheviot Youth is pleased to be able to offer the position of Digital Media Assistant with its Digital Media team based at is Jedburgh Youth Hub.

 

The Digital Media Assistant will play an important role in supporting and assisting with the day to day running and development of the Cheviot Youth Digital Media Project (DMP) based in Jedburgh with responsibility for the Jethart Youth Projects Facebook page and the charity wide Cheviot Youth Facebook page as well as the Cheviot Youth Website, Twitter account and general digital administration function.  In doing so they will assist the DMP Lead Worker in assisting and supporting volunteers, Cheviot Youth Members and those on the Digital Media Professional Development Award programme in ensuring all understand and are comfortable navigating the fields of digital and online media. 

 

As this is a supported employment post offered through Community Jobs Scotland Phase 10 programme certain restrictions apply e.g. this position is open only to young people aged 16 to 29 not in education, employment or training; please note other criteria apply. The post is for seven months, 25 hours a week based in Jedburgh and the rate of pay is that of the Scottish Living Wage of £9.30 per hour.  Interested young people should in the first instance email Ian at ianrendallreid@cheviotyouth.co.uk with a short note telling him why they should have the job.  After the 11/8/20 application packs will be sent out to all interested parties. Interviews will take place on the morning of Friday 28th August.
